Green Environmental, Inc. (GREEN) is a leading Environmental Consulting and Remediation firm with over 35 years serving public and private clients throughout New England. GREEN is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our Rockland, Massachusetts office.
Ideal candidate must have a minimum five years of experience related to estimation and project management in the fields of Environmental Consulting, Remediation, Hazardous Waste Management, Emergency Response, and Asbestos Abatement Services. Knowledge of asbestos abatement procedures and protocols preferable. Existing clients a plus.
Position Summary:
The Estimator/Project Manager candidate will report to the Operations Manager and assist with the daily management, supervision, coordination, and successful completion of the project(s) to meet time and cost objectives with respect to contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
· Participate fully in sales/marketing efforts in establishing new accounts, servicing existing accounts, and procuring new business opportunities;
· Identify and research potential clients;
· Develop and maintain client relationships;
· Evaluate bid/proposal specifications and drawings;
· Attend site walks for potential projects;
· Preparation of project cost estimates, proposals and bid submittals;
· Actively participate in scheduling, coordinating and assigning projects; attend daily project meetings;
· Manage and coordinate daily activities of workers engaged in specified work projects, review job specifications and inspect work site;
· Manage safety procedures as well as ensure the safety of the public during projects;
· Monitor and inspect quality of work during and at end of project.
Work Requirements:
· Experience and familiarity with asbestos abatement projects.
· 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training, 10 Hour OSHA Construction & Safety training and 8 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER refresher.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be willing to work off hours, if required.
· Valid driver’s license.
Work experience should include construction background in demolition and remediation techniques and procedures. Candidate must possess skills to interface with clients and other project managers on project sites. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as part of a team on projects of various scales.
