Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to patients according to prescribed dosages and schedules
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
- Document medication administration and any observed changes in patients' conditions
- Assist with phlebotomy procedures as needed
- Provide patient care and support, including assistance with activities of daily living
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Valid Medication Aide certification
- Experience in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital, medical office, or hospice care facility
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical office systems (e.g., Epic)
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients, particularly those with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Proficiency in catheter care and other relevant nursing skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
