Nestled in the outskirts of Princeton, New Jersey, YingHua International School (YHIS) is the only not-for-profit, independent school in the greater Princeton area that offers English-Chinese dual language education with an internationally-focused, inquiry-based curriculum. Position and Overview

The Teacher of English vacancy is a full-time, salaried position with a 10-month work schedule, beginning August 2024. 

The ideal candidate will have an understanding and commitment to the science of reading and a proven track record of elementary ELA success. She/he should employ engaging, student-centered, research-based strategies to support all components of literacy.

Qualifications

  • BA and/or MA degree(s) in Education and/or English
  • Legal status for working in the United States
  • Ability to meet the school’s standard for ELA curriculum
  • Experience teaching English Language Arts, ideally in a primary or PYP setting
  • Enthusiasm to assist YingHua International School in becoming a nationally regarded bilingual, IB school
  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Fundations a plus

Compensation, Benefits and Hiring

The salary and benefits package is competitive and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. It includes medical, dental, vision and 401K. Professional development is provided throughout the year. All employees will be required to pass background checks.
