Private Label Staff is Hiring a Billing Specialist (Medical) Near Plano, TX

Job Summary
The Billing Support Specialist will be responsible for ensuring orders are tasked appropriately between all different systems. A Billing Support Specialist determines where orders must be tasked to ensure necessary assignment for next steps is completed. The Billing Support Specialist is designed to streamline patient orders to avoid any unnecessary delays.
*This is a 6 month, hybrid contract position* (3 days onsite in Plano, TX)
Responsibilities (Specific tasks, duties, essential functions of the job)
Billing Support Specialist I
  • Ability to task orders between internal systems (Salesforce, Brightree, etc).
  • Responsible for reporting & analysis of daily/weekly/monthly data.
  • Maintain an extensive knowledge of insurance coverages and markets.
  • Monitor and maintain patient order queues.
  • Partner with team members as well as cross functional stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Adhere to compliance of CMS and other payer guidelines.
  • Ability to meet and exceed productivity benchmarks.
  • Ensure that appropriate medical records are maintained according to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend potential solutions to improve departmental workflow.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties to support the office or departments, participate in various projects and/or meetings as designated by management.
  • Assist with any other duties as assigned.
Billing Support Specialist II (Senior)
In addition to items listed for Billing Support Specialist I, a Billing Support Specialist II (Senior) may also be responsible for the following:
  • Assists junior team members with general work-related issues and/or questions about departmental processes.
  • May assist with monitoring team production & quality is meeting/exceeding KPI.
  • Actively identifies process improvement opportunities and recommends solutions to improve departmental workflow.
  • May assist with reporting & analysis of daily/weekly/monthly reporting of department.

Qualifications (Experience and Education)
Billing Support Specialist I
  • High School diploma or equivalent - required.
  • Some College and/or medical billing certificate - preferred.
  • 0-2 years and basic to Intermediate experience of Medicare, Medicaid and/or Commercial Insurance experience - required.
  • 0-2 year and basic to Intermediate experience in oxygen or HME billing - preferred.
  • Beginner knowledge/proficiency in Microsoft Office, Oracle, Brightree, Salesforce - highly preferred.
  • A combination of training, education and experience that is equivalent to the qualifications listed above and that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Billing Support Specialist II (Senior)
  • High School diploma or equivalent - required.
  • Some College and/or medical billing certificate - preferred.
  • 2-4 years and basic to Intermediate experience of Medicare, Medicaid and/or Commercial Insurance experience - required.
  • 2-4 year and basic to Intermediate experience in oxygen or HME billing - preferred.
  • Beginner knowledge/proficiency in Microsoft Office, Oracle, Brightree, Salesforce - highly preferred.
  • A combination of training, education and experience that is equivalent to the qualifications listed above and that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
