About this opportunity

Ericsson seeks an Engineer - Services RF (Engineer Services Software) in Plano, Texas; hybrid work policy w / in commuting distance, who will serve towork on Java based scripting applications which helps to automate customer inputs into standardized templates and translate templates into scripts specifically usingJava technologies like Java AWT (Abstract Window Toolkit), Java Swing, Multi-Threading, Exceptions, and Collections.

What you will do :

Understand the implementation of the product configuration and integration work for RAN Nodes (eNB / BBU / RRH). Utilize technical understanding of the Design, Scripting and Integration process.

Collaborate with the Scripting SME on automating solutions. Design, test, and develop software to meet scope requirement.

Continuously identify areas of improvement and implement actionable plans to simplify the ways of working. Work autonomously and drive customer agnostic solutions and efficiencies across the team.

Extract data from files, network logs, PDFs, and files of various formats for analysis and scripting. Provide Level of Effort and timelines based on the solution requirements.

Maintain Software Development Life Cycle. Understand the Ericsson product Releases, Feature Sets, and associated parameters.

Collaborate with engineering teams addressing multiple markets performing analytical, investigative, and design activities related to scripting and integration including but not limited to automation of wireless technologies scripting.

Ownership and accountability of projects / programs leveraging personal knowledge and organizational skills to increase team efficiency.

Facilitate personal development and mentor colleagues. Develop automation algorithms using software programming and domain knowledge, analytical skills, and / or programming capabilities and work with a team of developers and engineers to develop the associated details and define plans for execution.

Establish comprehensive review processes for self and team and adhere to regular reporting routines for management. Consistently share ideas and understanding with colleagues via written documents and oral presentations.

Interface and provide guidance to offshore team in support of completion of deliverables.

You will bring :

Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and two years of experience as a Developer, or related. Experience to include 2 years in JAVA programming, MongoDB, Agile methodology, SQL, Eclipse, Software Development Life Cycle management, SVN, Git, GitHub, and Jira.
