Dignity Health Medical Group is the employed physician group of Dignity Health Arizona. Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 200 providers and 500 support staff that cover a wide variety of specialties. Responsibilities:The Genetic Counselor works as a member of a health care team providing risk assessment, education and supportive counseling to individuals and families at risk for; or diagnosed with a variety of inherited conditions. The Genetic Counselor will interpret genetic testing, support clinically-related genetics research and serve as an institute and community resource for aspects and issues related to human genetics.
Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days. This program provides debt relief and student loan assistance to help you achieve your goals. Full-time employees can receive up to $18,000 over five years, while part-time employees can receive up to $9,000.
Qualifications:Minimum:
Masters degree in genetics counseling or related field required.
Board certification in genetic counseling by the American Board of Medical Genetics required.
Basic computer skills required.
Knowledge of Genetic pedigree drawing programs.
Preferred:
Two or more years experience in genetic counseling.
