Summary:

Performs production equipment maintenance according to scheduled preventative maintenance requirements, maintains track records using Faciliworks maintenance program, and repairs broken equipment.

Essential Duties and RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following, other duties may be assigned:

• Performs preventative maintenance (PM) and repairs of production equipment and other machinery.
• Keeps records of PM using Faciliworks maintenance program.
• Rebuilds production related equipment and consults equipment supervisor for advice if needed.
• Uses hand and power tools, and other equipment to perform his assignments.
• Participates in removal or relocation of old and installation of new equipment.
• Works from blueprints, sketches, layout drawings, and verbal instructions.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Other skills and Abilities

• Basis computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of general trade fundamentals sufficient to perform equipment maintenance work and repairs.
• Knowledge of power tools, machine tools and their operation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to complete and pass training for forklift and mobile scaffold operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years' work experience preferred in the production equipment repair and maintenance field, preferably in manufacturing environment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
