Position Summary:

The AVP, has primary responsibility for providing operational oversight for all sourcing activities related to Orlando Health contract portfolio and ensuring strategic sourcing resources are prepared, aligned, and appropriately focused to achieve specifically defined corporate and departmental goals. The AVP will assist the Chief Supply Chain Officer in effectively carrying out supply chain strategic goals into tactical objectives and will actively create and maintain strategic alliances with key stakeholders both internally and externally to innovate and cultivate contracting opportunities for Orlando Health facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the primary sourcing lead for supply chain, and Purchased Services and assists other functional areas related to developing and delivering outcomes that align favorably with the objectives assigned to the strategic sourcing functions of Supply Chain.
  • Manage and own supply expense with the Chief Supply Chain Officer, and the executive leaders.
  • Manage and lead clinical resources implementations team.
  • Meet or exceed contracting goals established in annual Supply Chain workplan.
  • Establishes relevant, quantifiable key performance indicators for the Strategic Sourcing team and monitor as required, making adjustments, corrections, refinements to team objectives, strategies and/or processes such that these metrics are attained and maintained within defined acceptable ranges.
  • Leads and oversees efforts to define and develop the people, processes, competencies, technology, and other resource requirements necessary to effectively support on an ongoing basis the teams core functional areas of contract strategy development, negotiations, execution, and management.
  • Collaborates on a regular basis with the senior supply chain team, market supply chain leaders and the local MMIS team of the Health System: (1) Co-develop integrated sourcing objectives for Orlando Health and ensure effective communications that mutually support the teams objectives. (2) Collaborate with clinicians and executive leaders to Identify and assess new products that may represent opportunities for contracting and clinical integration initiatives. (3) Assist in the mutual attainment of goals and objectives. (4) Resolve market contract service issues; and (5) Improve general overall processes for Supply Chain Contract Services. (6) Assist with other contract needs in specialty areas such as Pharmacy as needed.
  • Forms and maintain strategic alliances with key stakeholders both internally and externally to innovate and cultivate contracting opportunities and service offerings for Orlando Health markets.
  • Actively champions and leads the Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing team in change management as needed to drive adoption of those activities that support the organizations growth, maturation, and innovation of its service offerings.
  • Monitors and takes the necessary actions needed to alleviate, mitigate risks and mediate/resolve facility and vendor issues that may arise within Orlando Health.
  • Develops and coaches the Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing team; conducts performance reviews on a regular basis and as needed; ensures the teams knowledge and competencies grow to match the evolving needs of the organization and sophistication of the changing market needs and new product introductions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Ability to travel 25%
Qualifications:

Education/Training
Masters degree required.

Licensure/Certification
None.

Experience

  • Ten (10) years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience related to supply chain strategy and operations, contract compliance, purchased services, clinical resources and implementation, content management, supplier relations preferably in healthcare.
  • Strong experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Supply Chain IT systems.
