Omaha Track Equipment, an established Omaha based company, is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join our growing organization in the fast-paced heavy equipment industry. Omaha Track Equipment specializes in custom building, fabricating, and maintain all types of Maintenance of Way (MOW) equipment & Construction equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proficient in assigned welding techniques such as MIG welding
• Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbols
• Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials
• Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
• Conventional and precision measuring instruments
• Process inspection, certification, and documentation
• Welding equipment maintenance
• Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools
• Safety and Housekeeping
• Other duties as assigned by the General Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• Welding Certifications required-please list them in the application.
• 1 year fabrication experience required
• Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing
• Good math and measurement skills
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
• Able to bend, reach, push, pull and put parts into positions for welding.
• Able to lift 50-lbs. from a floor or bench level to a welding table or fixture. 
• Dependable and consistent attendance/punctuality
• Ability to pay strict attention to detail and follow written/verbal instructions
• Understand and accurately interpret/follow laws, rules, regulations, and other railroad/Omaha Track guidelines
