Camp Chaverim is a vibrant summer camp dedicated to providing a nurturing and engaging environment for preschool children. Our camp is deeply rooted in Jewish values, emphasizing community, respect, honor, and a positive image of the child. We aim to foster a sense Tikkun Olam (repair of the world) as we explore nature and the world around us.
Position Summary: Are you new to Early Childhood Education? Have you wanted a chance to work with children in a fun environment? This is the position for you! We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Summer Camp Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with preschool-aged children or an interest in working with children. You will be responsible for supporting the teachers and children in our program.

Program Development and Implementation:

• Plan and execute age-appropriate activities, games, and lessons that align with Jewish values and camp themes.
• Foster an inclusive and respectful camp environment where every child feels valued and honored.
• Integrate Jewish traditions, stories, and values into daily camp activities.

Child Engagement:

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with campers, encouraging their growth and development.
• Promote a positive image of each child, recognizing and celebrating their unique qualities and achievements.
• Manage group dynamics to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all campers.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with other camp staff to create a cohesive and collaborative team environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child’s progress and camp activities.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Safety and Supervision:

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times.
• Follow camp policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
• Supervise and support junior counselors and volunteers, providing guidance and mentorship.
