Primary Duties & Responsibilities Provides proactive support for the investment needs and questions of field financial advisors and Wealth Management Advisors. The investment consultant will be a key resource for field advisors and registered representatives and will be instrumental in facilitating their investment-related client discussions. Carefully evaluate and recommend client investment solutions. Consults to trading, portfolio rebalancing, transition management, proxy voting, portfolio construction, investment performance, security selection, security research, investment planning and financial markets. Mentor and provide guidance to investment consultants on the team. Act as a Subject Matter Expert on various investment related projects and initiatives. May participate on the NMWMC Investment Committee or Investment Strategy Committee. In depth knowledge of market and fund/manager data concerning the investment strategies and tactics of these investments and their impact on account performance .Perform ad hoc due diligence and analytical rigor to research on stocks, bonds, mutual funds and other investment vehicles as requested by advisors. In depth understanding of investment advisory product offerings with ability to understand customer needs and identify appropriate product solutions. Conduct supervisory activities related to our rep-as-PM program including approval of advisory program non-standard proposals, investment transition plans, ineligible securities and qualified retirement plans. Qualifications Bachelor's degree, MBA or other advanced degree preferred CFA, CFP or work toward achieving the designation Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in the financial services industry, including a broad knowledge of markets, investments, economics, accounting, and financial tools, such as Bloomberg and Morningstar. Demonstrated ability to address complex customer needs and to recommend investment strategy alternatives that meet these needs. Demonstrated ability to consistently make sound investment strategy recommendations. Independent, driven individual with strong work ethic and desire to engage in continuous learning related to the role, markets and investments Experience working with an investment sales force including the ability to persuade and explain complex investment topics. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills FINRA registrations are permissible for this position. Required Certifications: Non-Registered Fingerprinted - FINRA Compensation Range: Pay Range - Start: $100,030.00 Pay Range - End: $185,770.00 Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment.
