- Coordinate the movement of goods using ocean and air transport from international locations.
- Work with shipping partners and customs experts to ensure smooth and timely imports.
- Manage shipment records using specialized software.
- Prepare all necessary documentation, including invoices and customs declarations.
- Verify compliance with tariff and customs rules by reviewing shipment details.
- Act as a liaison between foreign clients and local teams, resolving issues that may arise.
- Communicate with international networks, providing updates and handling inquiries about imports.
- Monitor import progress to ensure timely delivery.
- Create reports on import activities for accurate financial tracking.
- Promptly report any significant issues to the import manager.
- Assist in developing import pricing quotes under supervisor guidance.
- Experience in logistics, import/export, or supply chain management
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and customs procedures
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in using shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite
