Responsibilities include :

• Assist physicians in examination and treatment of patients, performing various delegated duties under the direction of the physician.
• Interview patients and measure vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Record patient information on charts and prepare treatment rooms for examination.
• Cross-train to perform duties that enhance the efficiency and continuity of patient care.
• Provide patient-related duties, maintain medical records, and ensure safety and environmental standards.
• Perform basic life support for healthcare providers, EKG, injections, venipuncture, and common lab tests according to established CLIA guidelines and company policy.
• Provide support to physicians and clinical staff, skillfully performing tests and obtaining specimens.
• Maintain high efficiency, organization, and time management skills to promote efficiency in the medical center.
• Demonstrate strong written, verbal, and phone skills, showing courtesy and respect towards patients, professionals, and team members.
• Accurately document patient care in charts, maintain confidentiality of patient records, and file appropriate documentation.
• Maintain the cleanliness of exam rooms, supply areas, and nurses' station, and dispose of contaminated equipment and supplies according to infection control guidelines.

What you need to succeed :

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Strong computer skills (Epic experience preferred).
• MA experience or formal education.
• Comfortable with blood draws and injections.
• Yearly flu shot required during flu season (not needed until fall).
• Up to 1 year experience in a physician office or related setting.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification.
• Ability to perform EKG, injections, venipuncture, and common lab tests according to CLIA guidelines and company policy.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong written, verbal, and phone communication skills.
• Ability to function successfully with minimal supervision.
