Job Description:
The Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Members Sale Representative to join our team. This part-time position (20 hours per week) is ideal for an individual who is passionate about sales and eager to contribute to the growth of our chamber. The salary is competitive and based on experience, with additional earning potential through commission.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Acquisition: Identify, target, and close 5-10 new membership sales per month. Effectively manage the sales process from initial contact through to contract closure.
Outreach and Engagement: Conduct outreach to current members to maintain and enhance relationships, ensuring high levels of member satisfaction and retention.
Community Familiarization: Develop a strong understanding of the local business community or demonstrate a willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with the local business landscape.
Event Participation: Attend Chamber events, actively engaging with members and prospective members to promote the benefits of Chamber membership.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Chamber’s team to align sales strategies with organizational goals and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and member interactions in the Chamber’s CRM system. Provide regular updates and reports on sales and member engagement.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience in sales, preferably within a membership-based organization or similar environment.
· Strong understanding of the local business community, or a demonstrated ability to quickly become knowledgeable about the local market.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse group of business professionals.
· Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
· Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Experience in using CRM systems and other sales-related software.
