POSITION PURPOSE:Responsible for entering customer orders and informing all departments that need to know of special requirements to ensure the customer’s needs are satisfied on a timely basis. EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:Associates Degree.Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Phone and email Etiquette.Ability to read and follow written procedures. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Proven Customer Support Experience.Strong Phone and email handling skills with ability to respond to different types of character.Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.Knowledge of SAP a plus. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: None PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform order processing, editing and data input functions.Maintain and update customer files and pricing.Effectively communicate with customers, sales, distribution and production planning to ensure customer needs are met in a timely manner.Verify the customer deductions, invoicing and credits are issued correctly.Follow up with customers on any past due invoice issues.Maintain PO Acknowledgments on a daily basis.EDI processing daily.Billing processing daily. Ability to train individuals in Order Entry. MARGINAL JOB DUTIES:Perform other duties as required and requested by supervisor. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Stand; walk; reach above shoulders; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl up to 1/3 of the time.Sit, use hands to finger, handle or touch; and talk or hear 2/3 and more of the time.Up to 10 pounds weight to be lifted or force to be exerted up to 1/3 of the time.Filing in four-drawer file cabinets requires occasional standing, stooping and reaching slightly over shoulder height.
