Job Description
Freight Bill Auditors at R L Carriers are primarily responsible for reviewing dimensioning data from shipments to
ensure they are moving under the proper freight class, weight, and are free of any billing or rating errors. A Freight
Bill Auditor is part of the W&R Department and reports to an Audit Supervisor
Freight Bill Auditors can work remotely and/or on site at any location in the R L system. This position will also
require travel throughout the R L network in order to advance the Freight Dimensioning Process and other
programs within the W&R Department as needed.
Freight Bill Auditor - Duties and Responsibilities
•Review records from freight dimensioning machines and look for potential opportunities for correction in
freight charges, and/or identify and correct billing or rating issues.
•Help oversee the freight dimensioning process and alert Department Management to any potential issues
that may arise including identifying poor performers and accuracy concerns.
•Manage process reports including performance, revenue and error rate tracking.
•Assist W&R Department management with future expansion plans which includes (but are not limited to)
forklift scale rollouts, dimensioner deployments or overall terminal assessments.
•Manage and/or perform calibration checks of dimensioning equipment to ensure accuracy is maintained.
•Manage any disputes from customers (internal or external) on any corrections performed in a fair and
timely manner.

•Effective & professional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
•Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively with others.
•Strong typing skills and effectively utilize different windows based applications.
•Strong attention to detail and high standards of quality.
•Travel as required by W&R Department needs.
•Effectively work under time restrictions and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Supervisory experience in the LTL, Transportation, Warehousing or Logistics industry.
•Previous Weights and Research, Operations Management or Transportation Sales experience.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and On-Base.
•Working knowledge of industry terms, experience working with Carrier and Pricing Tariffs.
•Bachelor's degree in Transportation or related area.
