Position Overview:

HealthForce is a medical staffing agency that focuses on nursing professionals. We are currently working with the local Health District to provide Registered Nurses for a full time position.

We are looking for an RN to work Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm to provide a general duty public health nurse with emphasis on long-term care screenings – independently provides professional nursing care to patients in clinics, homes, schools, and other community or congregate settings. Performs nursing assessments, may perform lab tests, take measurements, develop and implement care plans, including the administration of medication and case management.

Please note: for this position, you must have a reliable vehicle to travel to and from various locations. You will receive milage reimbursement and you must adhere to VDH Driver Safety Policy

Position Requirements:

· Ability to work with computer systems including email, Microsoft applications and patient database systems.

• Maintains legal parameters of patient confidentiality.
• Completes required training within established timeframes.
• Ability to work independently and apply sound nursing judgment.
• Ability to work with a diverse population.
• Assures accurate and complete documentation per VDH requirements.
• Maintains a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel throughout the district.
• Experience in long-term care or public health helpful.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
