Overview:

Our client, a Medical Center facility under the aegis of a California Public Ivy university and one of the largest health delivery systems in California, seeks an accomplished Mail Remittance Cashier.

Job Summary:

• The Mail Remittance Cashier is responsible for all incoming manual deposits including onsite checks, credit card payments, lockbox deposits, etc.
• He/She will print all lockbox payment EOBs and create necessary batches for payment posting. Ability to balance and log daily deposits via Excel spreadsheet.
• Knowledge of systems such as Epic System, CashPro, Cirius, and Payer websites.
• Able to identify patient vs non-patient checks and deposits accordingly. Once all deposits are balanced, update deposit logs and prepare daily deposit worksheets for distribution.
• Research return checks and chargebacks and adjust Epic patient accounts accordingly.
• Additionally, the employee is expected to perform payment posting and research functions as needed.

Minimum Experience:

• Knowledge on Hospital Cashiering
• Knowledge on Patient Explanation of Benefits.
• Knowledge on Microsoft Office 365 (Excel and Word)

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge on EPIC System.
• Knowledge on Payment posting and research.
• Knowledge on guarantor and insurance payment types.
