A Talascend client supporting projects in Los Alamos, NM has a need for Health & Safety Techs for a 7-8 month project.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides support to line managers and facility personnel by assisting health and safety professionals with collection of personnel air samples, swipe and bulk sampling, area sampling, real-time sampling, and inspection of areas or review of operations to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Provides technical support associated with the recognition, measurement, evaluation, and control of potential health and safety hazards, or the manipulation of data associated with those hazards.
• Assists with facilitating implementation of health and safety requirements. Work may include field, laboratory, and/or data management activities.
• Applies extensive knowledge and skills to complete specialized tasks and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.
• Comprehensive understanding of general and technical aspects of the job.
• Some responsibility for coordination and participation in developing the final product working with the requestor.
• Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity, creativity, and independence.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4-6 years of related experience; especially with sampling IH migrations & understanding PPE requirements.
• Associates degree would be nice to have.
• US Citizen.
