Experis is partnering with a global manufacturing company in the Longmont, Co area to hire an Engineering Technician 4 to join their team. You will play a crucial role in supporting engineering activities within our clients engineering labs. Your responsibilities will span across design, testing, troubleshooting, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, specialized test equipment, and experimental design circuitry. You will collaborate with engineers, follow technical documentation, and contribute to the success of our cutting-edge enterprise SSD programs. RESPONSIBILITIES: Prototype Assembly and Modification: Collaborate with engineers to assemble and modify prototype electro-mechanical systems. Desired: Comfortable with hand surface mount and reflow soldiering techniques. Follow schematics, diagrams, and written instructions to ensure accurate assembly. Perform modifications as needed based on design changes. Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct operational tests on systems and equipment. Isolate and troubleshoot computer hardware and operating system (Linux and Windows Server) faults. Methodology and Remediation: Help determine effective methods or actions to address one of our systemic system malfunctions. Participate in continuous engineering lab improvement initiatives. Equipment Expertise: Utilize SSD manufacturing, test, and development equipment. Familiarity with tools such as switches, KVM (keyboard, video, mouse), ESD (electrostatic discharge) field meters, and specialized test apparatus such as Oakgate, SanBlaze, and Quarch. Deploy and configure oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers for diagnostics and failure analysis. Product Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of equipment, components, and inventory. Assist in tracking and organizing lab resources. Collaborate with teams to ensure availability of necessary supplies. Experience/Skills Required: Proficiency in reading schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation Desktop and multi-vender server troubleshooting skills. Attention to detail when performing repetitive hands-on tasks. Ability and strong desire to work collaboratively in a dynamic engineering environment. Work onsite in Longmont, CO
