This is a temporary position and it is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and maintaining quality programs and systems designed to ensure quality control and quality assurance of the production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

AN OVERVIEW OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Maintains current IATF 16949/TS16949/150 9001 third-party certifications.
• Trains relevant staff on relevant quality related requirements and its applications to each department and works with each department manager to assist others in achieving applicable and necessary requirements.
• Coordinates requirements with customers and suppliers for all reliability and quality standards
• Ensures quality compliant components through the implementation of quality checks throughout the manufacturing cycle.
• Assists in the manufacturing flow of new and existing programs from a technical perspective and/or any area requiring attention in order to achieve the required quality of product.
• Confers with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales and supplier personnel to resolve problems of products and quality processes.
• Provides technical assistance in areas of interpretation regarding specifications, design concepts and related information in connection with the purchase of raw material, supplies and inspection and/or test equipment.
• Develops procedures and work instructions that define the Quality Management System
• Supervises and/or manages studies to determine cause and effect and implements corrective action as required to eliminate deviations from standards of quality.
• Ensures documentation and maintenance of records, drawings and other data are updated to provide necessary traceability and accountability.
• Maintains a productive Team through coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; performing timely performance appraisals and consistently monitoring staff performance to ensure goals are being met.
• Conducts periodic training sessions to keep personnel informed on procedures, methods, use of equipment and other quality/manufacturing techniques.
• Develops and maintains the Company's Quality Manual in accordance with industry quality standards.
• Analyzes products and processes to identify and implement improvement actions to positively impact performance measures.
• Creates technical documents (policies, procedures, work instructions) as required.
• Maintains/trains on proper calibration methods (in-house or outsourced) to ensure continued accurate quality checks throughout the shop.
