Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, this position is responsible for the daily operations of the Health Information Services Department, and the management of information. Monitors records for the completeness and accuracy of all health information given to administration, medical staff, nursing staff, patients, families, and other organizations associated with this health care facility.
Education: Degree in Health Information Technology from an accredited program.
Experience: Requires three (3) years' experience in Health Information Services; supervisory experience preferred.
Required License/Certifications: RHIT, RHIA, or CCS certification required.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Effective communication skills; both orally and written. Computer skills needed. Ability to manage and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong problem-solving skills.
