Oversees, coordinates, and manages the daily operation of Lafayette Municipal Court. Supervises municipal court staff, determines daily work assignments of court staff, supervises special projects assigned to court staff, and coordinates the scheduling and administration of all court proceedings.

KNOWLEDGE:Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of administering a municipal court office.
SKILL: Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the duties of the job including the possession of a valid Colorado Driver license. Strong customer service skills including interaction with those who have received citations.
ABILITY: To supervise and coordinate the activities of the municipal court, to exercise sound judgment, evaluate situations and make decisions, establish priorities, set deadlines and complete projects accordingly, adjust to shifts in priorities, learn to interpret and apply a variety of complex organizational policies and procedures, utilize discretion, and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and others.
TRAINING:Associates degree in business management, criminal justice or related field.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of progressively responsible court operations experience with at least three (3) of those years in a supervisory role or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
