IMMEDIATE NEED for Quality Lab Technician to join a global manufacturer specializing in polymer materials in Kennesaw, GA!

Description:

The Quality Technician is responsible for testing product batches and will make adjustments, as necessary, to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards. Works collaboratively with Operations to support effective and efficient processing of products. Tests incoming raw materials and maintains Certificates of Analysis from suppliers.

Essential Functions:

• Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations. Completes EHS and other training as assigned. Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.
• Performs standard tests on assigned product line production batches and on some incoming raw materials as needed, ensuring the meeting of company and the customer’s specifications.
• Acts as a technical resource to production addressing issues related to production batches.
• Recommends to production and may develop adjustments to batches to meet specifications.
• Records test results in SAP database. Maintains reference files.
• Completes and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
• Ensures all gauges and test equipment are verified and within calibration.
• May participate in investigations of complaints and corrective actions as needed.
• Completes and sends documentation to customers (i.e. COA).

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Associate Degree with some experience working within a laboratory environment
• Laboratory/Quality - 1 years or higher
• Testing experience (quality and compliance specifications)
  • Nice to have: Viscosity and Color Matching

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities may require close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal office noise levels to loud.
