Seasonal (May - September * can be flexible), 3 pm-11 pm, part-time, and weekends a must. Pay is $17/ hr.
Responsibilities
•Empty the laundry chute and prepare loads for the washer by removing linens and organizing them for washing.
•Sort and categorize linen based on type, moving them to designated work areas using lifting or carrying techniques.
•Operate folding machinery to fold linens such as mats, blankets, towels, and bedspreads; may also handle ironing tasks.
•Identify and separate laundry that needs repairs or special stain treatment for further processing.
•Assist the washer by transporting carts of laundry between washing and drying areas.
•Offer guidance and support to guests and employees during emergency situations to ensure their safety.
•Follow safety procedures rigorously when handling chemicals and operating laundry equipment.
Qualifications
•The ability to understand English language to comprehend safety instructions and information is required.
•Previous experience as a laundry attendant or janitor is preferred.
•Additional language skills are a plus.
•Knowledge of industrial equipment operation and chemical cleaning agents is necessary.
•Physical requirements include bending, stooping, standing, walking, and lifting heavy loads up to 50 lbs.
•Capable of pushing and pulling wheeled carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
•Must be able to follow directions, perform tasks under limited supervision, and maintain regular attendance.
•Maintaining a neat and well-groomed appearance is essential.
•Compliance with health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment is mandatory.
