State of Missouri is Hiring an Applications Developer #2999073 Near Jefferson City, MO

Job Location:

  • The office for this position is located at 920 Wildwood, Jefferson City, MO. 65109.
  • Candidates who complete a successful onboarding and training period may be eligible to work at an alternate location in compliance with OA-ITSD's Distributed Workforce Plan.

About this position:

Develop, debug, unit test, implement, and maintain .Net applications (Web and Windows forms), Oracle database objects (packages, stored procedures, tables, views, materialized views, etc.), PL SQL, and MS SQL database objects. This position serves as a developer for existing applications and must be willing to continue to grow your technology skills used within the application development unit.

This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS).

Duties and Responsibilities:

Design, develop, unit test, implement, and maintain .Net applications (Web and Windows forms), Oracle database objects (packages, stored procedures, tables, views, materialized views, etc.), PL SQL, and MS SQL database objects. Complete annual training as defined by ITSD.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of supported business area. Ability to understand clients’ needs and technical requirements and implement solutions. Ability to identify and resolve programming issues. Ability to respond to changing priorities. Ability to collaborate with other professionals.

Analytical skills for troubleshooting code, technical application coding skills, understanding and experience with database objects, IIS virtual directories, application pools, and development environment configuration. Ability to share technical skills and knowledge with others.
