Addison Group has partnered with one of the top energy trading companies in the world is looking to add a Direct Tax Senior Analyst. The role is a mix of compliance, provisions and strategy and planning. It's a dynamic position where people will get a lot of exposure, not a boring straight compliance role. In addition to managing the federal, state, and international tax compliance of the North America entities, they provide expert tax guidance to management, commercial, investments, and other relevant teams.

Responsibilities

• Supporting investment and deal teams in new business acquisitions and/or sales processes
• Performing the review and/or preparation of federal, state and local income/franchise tax returns and preparation of estimated/extension tax payments
• Performing and/or reviewing the various federal and state components of the quarterly income tax accruals, conducting federal and state tax account reconciliations, maintenance of deferred tax items, and determining current and deferred federal and state tax for provision reporting purposes
• Responding to federal and state income and franchise tax audits and jurisdictional tax notices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting
• Minimum of 1 years of federal/state tax consulting experience or equivalent federal/state tax compliance experience in business or industry
• Exposure to partnership tax is preferred
• CPA preferred
• Public Accounting preferred
