SOFT's client located in Hicksville, NY is looking for a Real Estate Specialist for a long term contract assignment.
SOFT's client, located in Hicksville, NY, needs a Real Estate Specialist for a long term contract position. This position will begin onsite, then transition to remote. Responsibilities:

• Candidate will work on acquisitions, including: evaluating proposed sites, determining property values, obtaining title, survey, environmental assessment and zoning requirements, coordinating due diligence and securing necessary legal documents
• Will determine dispositions and grants for compatibility uses of company property requiring response to inquiries, routing for internal approvals, determining values, preparing and negotiating agreements and
• Identifying and evaluating sites, negotiating rents and the lease document
• Managing company owned property requires responding to internal and external inquiries and determining needs or resolution
• Disposing of real estate
• Negotiating permits, licenses and easements
• Responding to internal and external customers' inquiries
• Preparing documents as needed for specific transactions
• Traveling within company service territory as needed for above

Required Skills

• A Bachelor's degree preferably in Business/Real Estate/Paralegal Studies/Economics/Surveying with 2 years' experience in property and property rights , or in lieu of a degree 4 years' property and property rights experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Knowledgeable in SAP.

• Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and other assignments at the same time.
• Understanding of engineering and survey plans, maps, title reports and related design drawings, deeds, legal contracts and appraisal reports. Able to research relevant records and plans.
• Knowledge of relevant industry practice and legislation. Knowledge of current trends within property and developments in legislation or regulation (within and beyond the region where required).

Desired

• Completion of professional level courses in Real Estate Practice, Real Estate Law, Contracts, Title Examination, Negotiation, Appraisal, Environmental or related educational concentrations.
• Proficient in relevant property systems (GIS and Mapping)
