IT Support Specialist (Windows, ServiceNow, VPN) (Onsite, Harrisburg, PA)
We are currently recruiting an IT Support Specialist (Windows, ServiceNow, VPN) for our client, a Commonwealth PA entity. The focus of this role is to provide desktop and end-user support for the client consisting of approximately 4000 users and to support the Daily operation.
This contract position is long-term with funding approved until 6/30/2024 and further extensions are likely with funding approved every 12 months. 40 hours per week role. This position is onsite supporting our client's offices located in Harrisburg PA. The preferred candidates MUST reside locally in the Harrisburg, PA area.
This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act independently, work in team environments and have a highly advanced proficiency and competence in a variety of IT platforms and technologies.
Troubleshooting of the Windows and Mac operating systems, COTS applications as well as numerous in-house developed applications, VPN connectivity issues, VDI connectivity issues, software removal, and installation, hardware replacements and distributions, printer setups, basic networking issues, imaging desktops/laptops.
Resolve 80-90% of the incident tickets assigned which sometimes involves working with vendors, working with other IT teams, and especially users when 'hands-on'.
REQUIREMENTS:
2 years of experience required with following:
ServiceNow or understanding of asset management system
Windows OS and O365 Office products
Hardware desktop, printer, scanner, video
Knowledge of software and customer service
imaging workstations using MDT and/or SCCM
troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
transport/lift boxes/equipment
VPN setup, support, and install
resolve technical issues with users over the phone
active directory uses and privileges
wireless workstation setup and support
