We are currently seeking a General Accountant to join our Franklin, MA office team.
The General Accountant will be responsible for Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable. This person will have a strong ability to multi-task, coordinate, and complete these tasks within established SOP’s while working effectively with the Finance team. The position will strongly support and improve the accuracy and efficiency of all financial reporting.
This position will report directly to the Plant Controller.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Maintain all Accounts Receivable/Payable records.
· Review all AP invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
· Prepare weekly payment files for the bank to process.
· Manage capped addition, depreciation, roll forward and all vendor inquiries.
· Work with Supply Chain personnel to resolve any discrepancies in purchase orders or receipts.
· Review GRNI and open POs for accuracy on a weekly basis.
· Maintain all Accounts Receivable records.
· Apply cash receipts and reconcile bank accounts daily.
· Prepare weekly AR/AP report on outstanding balances.
· Run conciliations of month end accruals.
· Work with Sr. Staff Accountant on bi-weekly cash forecast for receivables and payables.
· Provide support during quarterly and year end audits.
· Assist with month end close as needed.
· Assist the Plant Controller & CFO with any financial or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
Qualifications include:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.
· Excellent technical and analytical abilities. Strong attention to detail, organizational, and documentation skills.
· Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
· A proactive, team-player mindset.
· Proven track record of follow through.
· Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
