Desert Hills Dental Care, a highly respected Dental Practice in Farmington, NM, has an opening for Financial Coordinator. Serious applicants only. Minimum 1 year experience in the Dental field. Minimum 1 year experience in finance/accounting/ or insurance related field. Candidate must be honest, mature, dependable, professional in demeanor and appearance and must possess excellent communication skills. Working knowledge of Dentrix is strongly desired. Competitive pay, depending on experience.

Duties and skills include:

• Ability to work under periods of pressure while maintaining accuracy, kindness, and professionalism
• Once the dentist has diagnosed and reviewed the treatment with the patient, you will:
• Present fees and give an estimate of treatment
• Help patient understand their dental benefits
• Educate patient about financial options available including Care Credit
• Help answer questions from patients about veneers, implants, crowns, bridges, Ortho, Periodontal and any other treatment that was diagnosed by the dentist
• Assist patient in scheduling next visit for treatment
• Document financial arrangements/payment agreements
• Send pre-estimates with appropriate attachments
• Send claims with appropriate attachments to insure prompt payment
• Monitor treatment plans and case acceptance
• Monitoring production and collections
• Monitor and post pre-authorizations
• Post incoming patient and insurance payments
• Send out statements monthly
• Opening and Closing procedures, balancing and preparing deposit

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
