**Job Overview**
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for making entries in the general ledger, balancing company accounts, and assisting with other various accounting functions. Hartig Drug Company will assign each workforce member a level of access based on the individuals need for electronic patients protected health information (ePHI) to perform their job functions. This position works 8:30am to 5pm Monday through Friday.

Position Details:
**Essential Job Functions**
Process daily operating reports from retail stores
General Ledger entry and balancing of company accounts
Reconcile bank statements
Assist store staff with problems and issues related to daily reports
Assist with various projects and tasks as requested
Works well in a team environment
Portrays the company in a positive image
Accounts Payable duties as assigned
Process daily cash transfers
Required to abide by all rules, regulations and policies of the employer
Skills:
Assist with other departments as needed
Ability to work as a team
Willing to learn and do new things
Education:
Minimum two year associates degree in accounting or comparable work experience
Proficient in Excel
Good organizations skills
Good customer service skills
