As a Mechanic / Technician with FMI, you will use your truck and diesel mechanic education/ experience to maintain and repair our customers fleets of diesel and gas delivery trucks.
Position Overview
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks; including PM service, tire replacement, brakes, etc.
- Diagnose and repair various mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform vehicle inspections & identify and address any apparent safety/performance concerns
- Respond to break down calls to perform road side service
- Must possess in-depth knowledge of gas and diesel engines
- Ensure proper and accurate documentation of all maintenance performed, complete reports in writing
The qualifications of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Minimum of five (5) years’ industry experience
- Diesel Medium/heavy duty trucks
- Step-van, Paint and Bodywork, and Ford experiences are all considered a plus
- Valid Driver’s license (CDL not required)
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems
- Ability to pass a background check
- Self-starter with a strong organizational skills and able to work independently
Working conditions:
- Most work performed on-site inside warehouse/ truck terminal
- Larger jobs completed in shop
- Road-side service when needed
- Hours may vary due to operational needs
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $25.00 - $36.50 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday (Occasional Saturday mornings depending on operational needs)
- Shifts vary between 5am – 1pm and 6am – 2pm
- Overtime available; not guaranteed

About the Company: Fred Madonna, Inc. (FMI) is a family-owned and operated business established in 1994 to provide service and maintenance needs to our FedEx Ground Contractor customers and non-FedEx customers since FMI has expanded to servicing terminals across Chester, Montgomery, Berks, and Philadelphia Counties.
