SUMMARY:

Responsible for directing overall supply chain operations, including purchasing, inventory, selection of vendors and distribution of finished goods. Responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for driving ESL’s brand with our vendors. Including setting clear expectations with supplier performance feedback.
• Define what are the decision drivers for ESL vendors regarding product allocation, service and support priorities and pricing.
• Find alternative components and/or alternative suppliers for hard-to-get critical components.
• Maintain vendor database and updates it regularly, to gage vendor performance.
• Manages company’s supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending.
• Find and pre-qualify potential outsourcing partners.
• Provide recommendations on Make/Buy decisions: what components make sense to manufacture in house or outsourced based on cost and other factors.
• Maintain healthy business relationships with vendors and build new supplier relationships.
• Maintain relationship with Distributors (key suppliers for ESL) making sure they keep a reasonable stock level and add value.
• Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of sourcing factors, such as product cost or quality.
• Plan and implement activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement and quality control of production materials.
• Provide direction to the Purchasing Team.
• Develop inventory strategies from Receiving to Shipping to ensure efficient workflow and accurate inventory.
• Ensure timely delivery of product to Production to ensure uptime.
• Maintain inventory accuracy targets and make improvement opportunities.
• Provide direction to the Inventory Team.
• Monitor KPI's anticipating and correcting trends which would compromise achievement of targets.
• Understand, support and follow management expectations in alignment with company values.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Advanced knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, cost analysis and budgeting,

• Detail oriented.
• Epicor experience is highly preferred.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; is accessible and approachable.
• Exceptional organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business highly preferred with a minimum of seven (7) years (Preferable 10 years) of experience in a similar role or leadership assignments demonstrating a progression of increased scope and responsibility in a manufacturing environment.
