We are seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various residential care facilities & settings. This position requires compassion, professionalism, and the ability to work with diverse populations.

Requirements:

- 4 years of direct client care experience

- Must perform 70% when clients are awake and present in the facility

Duties:

- Providing clinical and administrative duties for a minimum of 20 hours per week, which includes (but is not limited to) individual therapy.
- Supervision of the Associate Professionals and Paraprofessionals
- Supervision of disaster, emergencies and incident reports
- Provision of direct psycho/therapeutic educational services to clients
- Participation in treatment planning & CFT meetings
- Coordination of each client's treatment plan
- Provision of basic case management functions
- Adherence to strategies geared toward improving client care
- Other administrative tasks given

Experience:

The ideal candidate MUST possess one of the following education & experiences:

a) An individual who holds a license, provisional license, certificate, registration or permit issued by the governing board regulating a human service profession, except a registered nurse who is licensed to practice in the State of North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing who also has four years of full-time accumulated experience in MH/DD/SA with the population served;

b) A graduate of a college or university with a Masters degree in a human service field and has one year of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has one year of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling;

c) A graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a human service field and has two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional who has two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling;

d)a graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a field other than human services and has four years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated MH/DD/SA experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

-NCI (NORTH CAROLINA INTERVENTION COURSE), First Aid, CPR for Adult and Child, OSHA and Medication Management.

-Ability to carry out and make on the spot decisions about behavioral intervention programs, especially in crisis situations,

-Knowledge of basic health care, hygiene and safety.

-Ability to report orally and in writing knowledge of emotional needs of individuals.

-Exceptional and effective communication
