Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that aligns with state and national standards for grades 3-5.2. Teach fundamental music concepts, including rhythm, melody, harmony, form, and musical notation, through a variety of instructional strategies and activities.5. Facilitate opportunities for students to actively participate in music-making, including singing, playing instruments, and composing/arranging music.7. Organize and direct school-wide music performances, concerts, and other events to showcase student talents and achievements.8. Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff members to integrate music into interdisciplinary units and projects.9. Assess student progress and growth in music proficiency using a variety of assessment methods, including performance-based assessments, observations, and student reflections.10. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about students' progress in music and provide resources and support for continued musical learning at home.11. Stay informed about current trends, best practices, and resources in music education through professional development opportunities and ongoing professional learning communities.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field.2. Valid teaching license3. Previous experience teaching music to elementary school students, preferably in a similar setting.4. Strong musicianship skills and proficiency in vocal and instrumental instruction.5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents/guardians.6.
