An employer is looking to add an Assistant Political Account Executive to their team. This person will be responsible for growing new business opportunities by sourcing both agency and direct client relationships within the political vertical. They will assist senior members of our Sales, Media Strategy and Client Services teams to identify prospects, build custom media strategy, and practice effective client communication. It will be their job to identify and reach out to quality prospects, including government agencies, candidates, PACs and political advertising agencies and work through the sales cycle alongside senior members of the sales team to close new business. They will assist senior team members with client proposals and current campaigns and stay up to date with industry trends to advise clients on new campaign ideas. They will work with Sales, Media Strategy and Client Services teams to meet and exceed client performance expectations.
MUST HAVES:
Bachelor's Degree -- Journalism, Business or Political Science preferred
Interest in politics with a strong sales mentality and negotiation skills
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
NICE TO HAVE:
Working knowledge of the digital industry through past coursework, internships, or job experience
Notable work experience in lead generation and/or sales
