Job Description
Make a Difference as an Infant Teacher!
Do you love playing with babies? Are you ready to make a POSITIVE IMPACT in their lives? We are looking for a nurturing, patient individual to help our tiny children learn and grow in the best environment possible.
Our ideal candidate will have an Associates in early childhood education (ECE) or a related field with at least 3 classes in ECE. Previous childcare experience is a big plus!
Responsibilities:
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Through play, children learn about themselves, their environment, people, and the world around them. Play is critical to the healthy growth and development of children. Both solitary and social play is necessary for a child’s development. A child can play with a building toy alone and in the process, develop independence, self-sufficiency and persistence. Playing with the same toy with others, the child acquires social skills such as learning to cooperate, negotiate, share, show empathy, take turns, and play by the rules. These are important interpersonal life skills, all of which play fosters. Play in early childhood is the best foundation for success in school.
