Position: Event Sales & Manager
Location: In-Person (CFK Kitchen & Events)
Reports To: Owner
Status: Part-Time/ Full-Time, Hourly Benefits & Bonuses
Job Summary:
Culinary Coordinator is the backbone of our event planning operation, this position involves
responding to inquiries, creating proposals, maintaining relationships and creating new
relationships with clients and acting as the bridge between the client and our Culinary and
FOH teams. This position requires an individual with exceptional organizational, interpersonal,
and culinary skills. The Culinary Coordinator will ensure that all events are executed flawlessly,
maintain a cohesive and well-trained team, and foster strong relationships with both existing
and potential clients. Works independently as a manager with all staff & clients.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
● Fulfillment & Sales of Catering Offerings (50%)
○ The Culinary Coordinator is responsible for selling all aspects of catering
services offered including corporate events, social functions, weddings, to-go
offerings, and other market segments
○ Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
○ Generates and executes a definitive sales strategy to meet and/or exceed
revenue goals consistently
○ Responsible for selling all event functions, including meeting with the clients to
determine needs and exceeding their expectations through detailed
communication
● Client Relationship Management (20%)
○ Maintain strong relationships with existing clients through regular check-ins,
ensuring their continued satisfaction with CFK services.
○ Build and cultivate relationships with new clients to promote new business
opportunities for CFK.
○ Provide follow-up after events to express appreciation, gather feedback, and
encourage client referrals to drive business growth.
○ Networking inside and outside inquiries to obtain "leads" and build relationships
with new and existing clients
● On-site Event Management (30%)
○ Coordinate event logistics and services, including equipment needed to run the
event, food, drinks, and more
○ Manage all logistics, vendors, and client relationships up until the end of the day
of the event
○
● Additional Responsibilities (As Needed)
○ Perform any other duties as assigned by owner and senior staff members.
Qualifications:
● 5 years of culinary experience or experience in a food-related industry.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Experience in Sales and Customer Service required
● Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
● Ability to train and develop a team.
● Previous experience in event coordination, culinary operations, or restaurant
management is highly preferred.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
● Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
● Ability to work on weekends and occasional nights
● Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
● Proven ability to take direction, be receptive to constructive feedback, and implement
change.
● Strong interpersonal communication skills with clients, guests, and fellow staff.
● Valid Ohio Driver’s License with a clean driving record and proof of insurance
● Project a personal professional manner in appearance and in the workspace.
● Math and computer proficiency for assigned duties
● Excellent work ethic, detail-oriented, creative, results-driven and demonstrated ability
to work in and with direct teams.
● Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
● Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
● Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time
