Job Title: General Superintendent - Civil Construction
Full Job Description
Who we are:
- Oversee and manage multiple heavy civil construction projects, focusing on dirt, road, sewer, water, and storm drain work.
- Prioritize safety, quality, and efficiency in all project phases.
- Provide strong leadership to project foremen and crews, ensuring optimal project outcomes.
- Interpret and implement construction plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain high standards of safety and compliance on all job sites.
- Communicate regularly with project teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure project objectives are met.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
- Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the project teams.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction superintendent roles.
- Proficiency in interpreting and implementing construction plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills, with a track record of effectively leading and motivating project teams to achieve project objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective collaboration with project teams, stakeholders, and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment, if needed.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed in the Hinds, Madison, Rankin county areas of Mississippi.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check prior to employment.
