Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Survey Technician who will provide a detailed route from the existing plant to the customer, defining all construction requirements for the proposed route.

This position is responsible for performing commercial walkout surveys to provide new service to end user and ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications.

**This is a high volume fast paced position**

Must be willing to use your own vehicle. - We pay a fuel allowance weekly.

Responsibilities

Pull cable prints from ShareFile to validate tie-points, plan in-field routes, and route your day for all issued surveys

Clear/close any issued walkout surveys that are serviceable by drop.

Perform commercial walkout surveys to provide new service to end user.

Perform commercial desktop surveys to provide new service to end user.

Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications.

Ensure all timelines are met, we have 3 days per survey.

Follow guidelines to provide detailed route from existing plant to customer demark noting all construction types required along proposed route.

Obtaining the correct field information, record verification, document all details for aerial and underground telecommunications including fiber, coax, poles, pedestals, and more for Survey and ROW or Joint Use Permit data.

Submit completed data to the project manager daily.

Requirements

2 years of cable mapping experience is preferred.

Knowledge of cable design and OSP basic construction practices of cable systems.

Able to read and interpret maps, drawings, and diagrams associated with CATV projects.

Strong analytical, observational, and communication skills.

Good computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, & PDF Editor with the ability to learn new software and technologies.

Must be highly responsible and self-motivated.

Able to work independently within minimal supervision.

Able to communicate with customers in a professional manner.

Additional Information

Perform field walkout assignments daily over varying terrain and in all weather conditions (Central FL) and surrounding Area.

Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Must be willing to travel 95% Using your own vehicle.

Necessary tools will be provided.
