PLC AUTOMATION ENGINEER
Our client, a leader in the food industry based in Brookshire, Texas is seeking a PLC Automation Engineer to join our team. Summary: The Company is seeking a self- motivated automation engineer with a strong technical engineering background specializing in process control/automation design and development, combined with hands on experience.
The ideal candidate must have experience in engineering development, team support, technical management, project coordinator and full cycle project management as well as strong troubleshooting skills. The candidate must possess the ability to manage and maintain all aspects of the automation equipment in the canning facility, manage projects for new machine installations, conduct extensive troubleshooting, look for areas of improvement, identify bottlenecks, provide solution, support with preventive and predictive maintenance, create initiatives to make the manufacturing more cost effective and present projects to upper management for approval.
Oversee all areas of automation and process engineering for the facility.
Technical Skills: Java, C , Excel, Power point, AutoCAD, other skills include assembly language programming, knowledge in Variable Frequency Drives, PLC programming strong experience with Rockwell Automation products preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Engineering skills in the manufacturing environment plus a 5 or more years of directly related experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish) Salary will commensurate with experience.
