Performs a variety of tasks according to standard practices and procedures, and in complance with regulatory agency requirements that facilitate:
1. Provision and documentation of comprehensive level clinical nutrition services to patients
2. Maintenance of departmental quality assurance/quality control programs
3. Provision of on-going nutritional education to medical/nursing and nutrition staff
4. Following standard practices for regularly scheduled hours, productivity and employee behavior
5. Maintaining and promoting awareness of hospital mission statement and programs in order to assist in accomplishing its goals.

Responsibilities:- Provides comprehensive level of clinical nutrition services appropriately and in timely manner by maintaining an efficient program for nutrition screening, assessment, follow-up care and counseling.
- Collaborates with clinical Nutrition Manager during admissions screening process by attending and participating in daily team meetings to receive/discuss daily patient visitation assignments.
- Collaborates with medical/nursing staff regarding individual patients to facilitate optimum nutrition care.
- Documents nutrition care provided in patients medical record in accordance with department standards.
- Delegates intermediate and basic care level patient visitation activities to graduate dietitians and diet clerks via CNM.
- Utilizes approved Nutrition Care Manual appropriately.
- Plans and implements educational programs for medical/nursing and nutrition staff and patients.
- Attends routine staff meetings, departmental/hospital in-services/orientation. Follows hospital policy on verification of attendance at same.
- Participate in departmental patient services quality assurance/quality control programs.
- Participates in the training of dietetic students.
- Participates in education programs or developmental in-services to improve skill levels.
Qualifications:Qualifying hospital intership experience. Successful completion of requirments for dietetic registration.
