Project Manager Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year

Shift Details:

8-hour shift

Day shift

Monday to Friday; 8am – 5pm (Hours may vary)

Location: Birmingham and Metro Detroit Area

Project Manager Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 year's experience as Lead Carpenter or Project Manager in a residential remodeling environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with clients, team members, and subcontractors.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience in budget management and cost estimation.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising and motivating project teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to unexpected changes in project scope or timelines.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Physical ability to navigate job sites and inspect work in progress.
  • Willingness to work evenings or weekends when project deadlines necessitate extra hours.

Project Manager Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning and execution of residential remodeling projects from start of construction to finish.
  • Coordinate with architectural designers, interior designers, and other construction specialists to ensure project plans are executed effectively.
  • Manage the budget for remodeling projects, including estimating costs, determining the value of work done, and managing expenses.
  • Attend necessary inspections, obtain necessary approvals, and ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Direct and manage onsite carpenters and subcontractors, providing guidance and leadership to ensure quality workmanship.
  • Regularly communicate project status to clients, providing updates and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Perform quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and report on the project's status.
  • Cooperate and liaise with construction professionals, such as electricians, plumbers, and carpenters, to ensure all aspects of the project are harmonized.
