LHH is Hiring a Master Planner Near Bensalem, PA

Job Description:

Position Title: Production Planning and Scheduling Specialist

Location: Bensalem, PA

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year (Direct Hire)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive master production and material plans to drive Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and ensure optimal production capacity.
  • Conduct capacity analysis, time studies, labor performance analysis, and cost estimation to support production planning initiatives.
  • Review and analyze MRP requirements daily, releasing work orders as needed.
  • Monitor and address action messages, WIP (work in progress), and adjust production jobs accordingly.
  • Manage PPOD queues as necessary and download customer-provided forecasts to facilitate timely manufacturing.
  • Execute order splits, reductions, and increases as required, adjusting operational and build information as needed.
  • Close open work orders and manage transactional data cleanup.
  • Monitor future work and ensure the smooth flow of follow-on and new work using expedited reports.
  • Coordinate internally to address any WIP issues impacting customer requirements.
  • Complete Engineering Change Orders (ECO) as necessary and attend required meetings with accurate data.
  • Document all transactions, issues, concerns, and important information accurately.
  • Assist other departments in achieving organizational goals as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of ERP systems, Master Production Scheduling, Production Planning, and Capacity Planning.
  • APICS - CPIM and/or CSCP certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement tools or certifications preferred.
  • Aerospace/Defense Manufacturing experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in MRP system function with above-average communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Strong skills in data analysis.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in manufacturing, production planning and scheduling, master planning, or production control.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MRP manufacturing software.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to use hands, talk, hear, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required.
