CLASS DESCRIPTION
The Baltimore City Health Department is seeking a VALUE (Vaccine Access and Acceptance Lives in Unity, Education, and Engagement) Communities Program Lead to provide coordination and management support to one of four or five areas for the successful delivery of mobile vaccine clinics that aim to reach vulnerable populations within Baltimore City. The VC Program Lead will support the successful implementation of the VC strategy, ensuring meaningful engagement of the community through community listening sessions and integration of feedback into plans for the delivery of mobile vaccination clinics. The VC Program Lead will provide operational support, organization, and coordination of workgroup activities, including budget management and overall administration.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position is expected to establish and maintain excellent relationships with counterparts, community members, and other stakeholders in the COVID-19 response in Baltimore City.
* Provide program coordination and administration support to designated service areas in Baltimore City to ensure the successful delivery of strategies to reach these groups with COVID-19 vaccine.
* Develop and implement workplans, monitoring plans, budgets, and operational standard operating procedures for the successful implementation of strategies to serve assigned communities.
* Conduct outreach to community-based organizations and other community partners as needed, to follow up on complaints, troubleshoot challenges, and identify and implement course corrections to program activities.
* Recruit community members for community listening sessions and Ambassador positions, following up to ensure meaningful and informed engagement as needed.
* Coordinate with the VC team, clinical and pharmacy partners, and other key stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of mobile vaccination clinics to reach assigned communities.
* Develop and implement management systems to improve coordination and track progress towards deliverables.
* Ensure progress reports are completed and submitted on time; contribute to development of reports and facilitate appropriate review process.
* Plan and organize program procedures and establishes program goals and objectives.
* Promote and provide information to the community on program activities.
* Schedule, plan, and coordinate (including managing logistics) for program activities and events.
* Develop and administer support services for program participants.
* Perform related work as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
AND
EXPERIENCE: Have one year of experience in coordinating, monitoring, and processing cases involving the provision of health, social, vocational or rehabilitation services to clients. Preferred experience in program development, coordination, or management.
