We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer (PE) to join our dynamic and innovative engineering team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical control systems and components to required specifications. This role will focus on economy, safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability.
Responsibilities:
As a Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes.
2. Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
3. Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects.
4. Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
5. Establishing construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
6. Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies.
7. Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
8. Supervising or training project team members as necessary.
9. Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation.
10. Maintaining electrical equipment.
11. Working with a variety of technicians.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate for the role of Electrical Engineer must possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A PE (Professional Engineer) certification is required.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the engineering industry, specifically within electrical design.
3. Proficiency in design, electrical design, and blueprint reading.
4. Strong knowledge of building codes, power systems, and circuit analysis.
5. Exceptional understanding of electrical engineering basics and principles.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with complex transactions with little oversight.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electrical engineering software.
9. Strong project management skills.
10. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
12. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
