Job Summary:
The Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) will play a critical role in providing patient care and supporting the clinical operations of our healthcare facility. The Registered Medical Assistant will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth functioning of our medical office and the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring all necessary paperwork and documentation is complete.
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, obtaining medical history, and updating patient records.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, such as blood draws and specimen collection.
- Conduct basic wound care, dressing changes, and suture removals.
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Provide patient education and instructions regarding medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and protocols.
Registered Medical Assistant Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current registration as a Medical Assistant (RMA) from a recognized certifying organization
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred.
