BlueHalo is seeking an Information Technology (IT) and Information Assurance (IA) Professional in support to the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Space Vehicles Directorate, FA9453-20-C-0024 (STAR-HOWD) contract. BlueHalo is supporting AFRL in a variety of areas related to the design and flight of space vehicles. One of those areas is in support of the W/V-band Satellite Communication Experiment (WSCE) program. The WSCE program has data collection instruments at multiple locations across the contiguous US. It is necessary to maintain secured WAN connectivity to the remote instruments. This connection provides a means to download data from each instrument to a central repository and to provide remote accessibility to a small team of scientists and engineers for health and status checks and anomaly resolution. BlueHalo is looking for qualified candidates who are interested in working within a small, agile, innovative team supporting Air Force projects and who shares a strong desire to create a work environment that is highly collaborative, rewarding, and fun. At a minimum, the successful candidate will work directly with AFRL/BlueHalos HOWD team to provide IT and IA services to the joint BlueHalo-Government research team. The job is focused on supporting the IT infrastructure for WSCE and maintaining the approval to operate certification of enclave network. Current IT projects include migrating on-premise workloads to Amazon Web Services, support of WAN based connectivity, supporting users, RMF Continuous Monitoring tasks, and ongoing system administration & maintenance.

Essential Functions:

• Establishing, installing, configuring, and documenting hardware and BIOS settings and configurations
• Establishing installing, configuring, and documenting standard software installation and configuration processes
• Migrating existing on-premise workloads to AWS/GovCloud
• Maintaining existing WAN connectivity and implementing new connections as required
• Identify helpful or needed hardware and software
• Develop and implement scripts for IT/IA management functions
• Maintain compliance with Air Force IA/RMF systems
• Represent BlueHalo well with customers
• Perform all other duties as assigned

This job operates in professional/secure office & laboratory environment. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines and other equipment as needed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are nominally Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required.

Required Education and Experience

• Experience as an IT and/or IA technician
• IAT Level II certification (Security , CISSP, etc.)
• U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Associates Degree or higher
• Active security clearance
• Experience maintaining Air Force IA/RMF compliance, including application of DISA STIGs and performing vulnerability scans
• Experience with Amazon Web Services and Technologies
• Experience with Windows Servers and workstations
• Experience with Linux Servers and workstations
• Experience with Dell Servers and workstations
• Experience with PowerShell and/or Bash scripting
