Major Job Responsibilities/Duties
- Responsible for the accuracy of all weighing
- Enter the correct codes for received materials
- Maintain orderly purchasing and sales tickets
- Responsible for end of day reports
- Accurately count cash and pay customers
- Perform other duties as requested
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience in weigh or scale operations Preferred
- Basic math and computer skills required
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) required
- Cash handling experience required
- Organized and detail oriented
- Overtime may be required
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
